Floral Wall Art DIY

Big cats and florals. Two of my absolute favorite things. Urban Outfitters has this great floral print lion poster on their website. I really have no other name for it. It’s that random. But I love that it’s fun and playful and pretty unique. I wanted to make something similar to eventually hang in a wall collage.

Here’s what I did.

You will need:
Plain white canvas
Floral Fabric
Mod Podge and sponge brush
Black and white image

1. If you don’t already have a personal image, use google to find a black and white photo you like. Using any simple program such as Word, create your shape/image and print the image onto card stock. I like using card stock because it keeps the photo from getting wrinkly and textured once mod podge is applied.

2. Cut out your image and mod podge to the center of the canvas.

3. Trace the cut out image onto the back of the fabric. To start out, cut the circle slightly smaller than the one you traced. You can always make it bigger.

4. Line up the image and fabric. Mod podge the fabric to the canvas.
